Because every once in a while I pull into a driveway and immediately understand why a family never wants to leave.

I think the best family photos happen when nobody is trying too hard

When the puppy steals the attention.

When kids find flowers instead of looking at the camera.

When the evening unfolds exactly the way it wants to.

I think engagement sessions and wedding days matter for reasons people don’t fully understand until years later.

Not because everything was perfect.
Not because the timeline went flawlessly.
Not because every detail stayed exactly how you plan

Some sessions just feel like summer in Missouri

Warm evenings, kids growing too fast, parents holding hands without thinking about it, and golden light pouring through the trees at just the right time.
